I see the human brain like a machine. In fact, the brain is the most complex machine of all. The human brain produces hormones to keep your body alive, and it’s what has produced ideas that have fueled revolutions and inventions that have shaped our history. From the human brain came the atomic bomb, artificial intelligence, and even the first moon landing by man.
But what the brain doesn’t have is an owner’s manual. Have you ever thought about that? Every machine we buy—like a car, camera, phone, or computer—comes with an owner’s manual of how to operate it. But what about the brain? How come the brain, which is the most difficult machine to operate of all, doesn’t come with a guide on how to use it to its maximum potential? Wouldn’t it be great if we could just read a manual and know exactly how to control our emotions and manifest our dreams?
About 20 years ago, I discovered that although each person is different, our brains fundamentally all work the same. Furthermore, although our life paths are different, we all fundamentally want the same things. We want to be happy. We want to be healthy. We want to be loved, and we want to feel peaceful. I created Brain Education as that sort of manual based on my own research and experiences. It consists of brain development principles and methods—drawn from Eastern energy philosophy and Western neuroscience—that I’ve compiled into a comprehensive self-development mind-body system. My work started from a place of sincere desire to help myself, my family, my people and all of humanity.
The main key of Brain Education is that it doesn’t seek to focus on the anatomical or neurophysiological function of the brain. Rather, it explains how to use your brain to discover your value, to recreate the story of your life, and to claim a new destiny. I especially want to emphasize that improving your life through brain development is a skill that anyone can understand, practice, and apply to everyday life. It’s not rocket science that only a few “smart” people will get. Anyone can practice it as long as you have a sincere desire to know your brain. By mastering this skill, you can bring fundamental changes to your life.
When I was young, I struggled with ADHD. I couldn’t focus at all in class, and my mind frequently wandered into thoughts like, “Who am I? Why was I born? Why do I have to live?” I couldn’t get a good grasp on anything else. My parents had big hopes for me because I was their first-born son, but I had become the family’s headache instead. I failed my college entrance exam twice and was not admitted into any college. All my teachers, neighbors and relatives thought I’d never amount to anything. I wasn’t someone who was just born with special talent or abilities from the beginning. I lived until the age of 30 with a learning disability but overcame my challenges by discovering the power of my brain.
Today, Brain Education has become an academic discipline in its own right that has been refined by more than 40 years of research and application. A research institute and graduate university have been established in South Korea to facilitate more specialized development of the program. The national government in South Korea even recognizes Brain Education trainers as a specialized profession. These principles and practices have been used by all kinds of people seeking health and self-development, and I’ve witnessed the amazing physical, emotional, and mental changes in people with my own eyes.
I invite you to learn more about Brain Education—to become curious about what it can do for you in creating health, happiness, and peace in your own life. And after having discovered your self-worth and power through Brain Education, that you share it with those around you who need it too. As we spread a seed of healing and hope to those near us, we can start a movement of global healing for a world that desperately needs it now.
